Once upon a time, this site rested within the bowels of my trusty home computer,Β Cerberus. Since then, it’s moved to the webservers of ucvhost.com where it can be accessed more easily from anywhere I happen to be.I once worked in the IT industry where I spent eight hours a day tethered to a desk and had plenty of time to write journal entries. That is no longer the case. Since about 2009, entries to this blog have become more and more sporadic. In that time, I left IT, got a teaching credential and started working professionally as a science teacher. There’s a lot that I have to say about education in this country and how much it sucks.
Currently, I’ve quit my depressing, crappy job. I just couldn’t take it any more. With any luck, I’ll somehow live the dream of having my own online business where I can work for myself instead of someone else. Maybe I’ll just get a new job. I don’t know what will happen and right now, I’m feeling pretty burnt out. I’m also sick with some sort of cold.
I think I’ve got a fair amount of useful information to share with the world, so I’m opening this blog up to the internet. No more blocking search engines!
This site uses a great wordpress plugin called NextGEN Gallery to create picture galleries. I can’t recommend NextGEN Gallery enough. Along with wordpress, it makes for an awesome online journal. Below are some pictures of me. This gallery shows all the pictures I have tagged with my name. Neat, huh? There’s also a widget for wordpress that will show random pictures for you. You can see an example on the home page.
