I got a job working at South El Monte High School as a chemistry and biology teacher. This summer I packed up all my belongings and moved to Pico Rivera. I’ve had the computer that this blog was on packed up in storage for months now, so there has been very little posting. But now [...] Yesterday, there was as hastily planned meeting at petco where we learned that the IT helpdesk and the customer satisfaction helpdesk are being out-sourced and everyone will start getting laid off in August. Good thing I’m leaving anyway! Now I can kiss those stupid 2009 goals goodbye. Incoming search terms:petco helpdesk I told my boss, Don that I’ll be leaving PETCO to go to SDSU this summer. Now I just have to put in my 2 week’s notice by June 18th. Now I can’t bypass it with my shared drive maneuver. But it looks like they allow you to use a thumbdrive if it’s a Kingston Data Traveler. Strange. How lame! On Friday, they send out an email saying that they were locking down the cdrom drives on workstations that day. Once again, petco gives us warning before-hand. What a bunch of jerks! They always do this kind of thing. So anyway, now I have to figure out how to bypass it or stop [...] Tyler and I commandeered some new chairs from the lunch room. I got a purple one that actually works! We needed someone to come in and work the overnight shift, so I volunteered to leave at 4pm, come back at 11pm, work until 4 am, and then come back to work at 1pm.
